Doom and Rage are Now Available on Xbox Game Pass
Two id Software games join Game Pass.
Microsoft announced that 2016's Doom and 2011's Rage are now part of the Xbox Game Pass, with the latter joining Xbox Backwards Compatibility.
In a new press release, Xbox announced that in anticipation of Rage 2 coming out in 2019, the first Rage is going to be joining the Xbox Game Pass program alongside Doom. That means if you're a member of Xbox's monthly subscription service you'll have access to both games today.
Doom is easily one of the best modern shooters with fluid action and intense, well, shooting. Rage meanwhile featured what was then considered advanced ai mechanics and realistic shooting, but Rage 2's more colorful aesthetic is a departure from the original Rage's gritty art style.
Xbox Game Pass meanwhile continues to add games to its growing library, including day one releases for Xbox first-party titles. It is easily one of Xbox One's best features and one of the early Netflix-style game subscription services. Also check out our Rage 2 guide for more info.
