When Dragon Ball FighterZ was first introduced, fans wondered if perhaps the title indicated that the game would not include characters from the currently-airing Dragon Ball Super series. Worry no longer, as the newest character announcements are all from the latest series. Well, one is technically from Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, but a retelling of that film formed Super's first arc.
Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black will all be joining Dragon Ball FighterZ, according to the latest issue of V-Jump (translated via Gematsu).
Beerus can throw down with his Meteor attack 'God of Destruction's Judgment' and Sphere of Destruction, one of his special attacks. Hit can stop time, compressing multiple attacks into a single moment. Finally, Goku Black has 'Work of the Gods' as his Meteor attack and his true form, Zamasu, does appear in-game.
Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 26, 2018.
