Dragon Quest 11 Gets a 2019 Release Date on Switch and an Orchestral Soundtrack

Two Dragon Quest games are coming to Switch this year.

Nintendo finally lifted the veil over Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age S. The definitive version of Square Enix's latest Dragon Age JRPG includes a bevy of new features and updates. Plus, Nintendo finally revealed the release date for Dragon Quest Builders 2. It's a very Dragon Quest-y day for fans.

Though previously announced, Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age S sort of disappeared for a while. Now, after months of rumors, Nintendo officially confirmed the western release for the latest Dragon Quest on Switch.

Along with the portability of the Switch version, Dragon Quest 11 S will include a fully orchestrated soundtrack. There will also be the option to toggle between HD and retro 8-bit style graphics.

Also, Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be coming out on July 12. The sequel to Square Enix's surprise builder/RPG hybrid includes new characters, more features, and multiplayer.
