Dying Light Mission 4 Walkthrough: Pact with Rais - How to Get a Gun

The fourth mission in Dying Light starts off much the same way that the rest of them have, and that's with Kyle Crane traveling a decent distance across the map. It's a great opportunity to complete a side quest or two, maybe even secure a few more Safe Zones that lie between the Tower and current objective marker.

After arriving at Rais' compound, head inside and relax while a cut scene plays, then visit a man named Karim to get a job. Should players need any gear for said job, there's a vendor who can supply Mr. Crane with an assortment of goods hanging in the same area as Karim.

Hint: Players can grab the weapon Rais used to chop off that dude's hand and add it to their inventory.

After leaving the compound it will be time for another quick call with the GRE, then it's off to find the telecommunication antenna. As players approach the waypoint on their map they'll be greeted by a Goon, and an enemy that they haven't seen before called a Toad. The Goon is nothing new, but the Toad will throw some type of undead Gunk at Kyle. Rush this fool and kill it with melee strikes, then take out the Goon from range.

With the area clear of infected, head inside the small building and turn on the antenna's main power, then start climbing up it in search of the transmitter. It's a decent sized task that might take a bit of planning, but players will know they are close to the transmitter when the objective marker on the map is level with their position, not above or below.

Hint: Don't bother trying to climb down, there's a handy zip line to expedite the process of returning Mr. Crane to the ground level.

As players might expect there is a second antenna that needs to be dealt with, but it's more of the same nonsense as the first, minus the Toad and Goon. This one is surrounded by an electric fence, but that can be bypassed by having Crane climb up on a rock to the south of the antenna. Once inside, climb up and turn on the transmitter just like before.

With the job done it's time to return to Rais and collect the Antizin, however as gamers might expect he's not a man of his word. Instead of payment he'll require Crane to do some more of his dirty work. Visit briefly with Karim, then leave the compound and head out to the first waypoint that marks a location that Crane can once again check in with the GRE.

Hint: The conversation with the GRE should take place in the same spot as earlier in the mission.

The next few objectives are going to be somewhat tedious and require a lot of moving around the Slums. To cut down on the overall time it takes to complete this mission, avoid distractions and just free run from one objective to the next. Besides the regular cast of low level zombies, players need only be concerned about something called a Bomber, a type of infected that explodes when it takes damage or gets excited. Kill this sucker from range just after entering the tunnel to meet the courier.

There's a good chance that this mission will run through the entire day and into night. If that's the case, make sure to find a Safe Zone to relax for the night, then head out at first light. While Crane is making his way back to Rais he'll be diverted to look for a lost patrol, something that turns out to have a major upside for players who like firearms.

Hint: The Safe Zone we stayed in was the one that belonged to Morgan. Seemed that he didn't mind us taking a nap even after we shook him down for some cash.

Head to the search area and start knocking off some minor objectives. Be sure to check all of the bodies until Crane locates what Rais wants. It's about that time that a gun wielding survivalist who sits on a low rooftop will start shooting, at which point players should rush him and go for the kill. The beautiful part about this is that the dude drops a Police Rifle, which depending on the player could be the first gun they've received so far.

After all that running around it's time for just a little bit more. Return to Rais to get the Antizin, then have another talk with the GRE, eventually returning to the Tower to complete the mission.
