EA Motive is Working on a Plants vs. Zombies Project Alongside a New IP

Is it Garden Warfare 3?

EA Motive is apparently working on a new Plants vs. Zombies project alongside the preivously mentioned, but still unannounced new IP.

The news comes from a new interview with EA Motive boss Jade Raymond with Edge Magazine, where Raymond revealed that her new studio is slated for a new Plants vs. Zombies title. Though no details were given, it could possibly Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3. Could Popcap's popular mobile game IP be making a comeback?

Speaking of the other project at Motive, Raymond says that development is ongoing. "We're working on the concept. We have the pillars for the game," explained Raymond.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2

We got a chance to speak with Raymond at this year's GamesBeat Summit where she explained to us a bit more about Motive's focus and plans in the live-service games space.

Until then however, it's been two years since Garden Warfare 2 which is a long time to keep a popular IP like Plants vs. Zombies tucked away. Hopefully it will be the first look at what the developers at Motive are capable of for when their new IP is announced.
