Enter the Gungeon, Yooka Laylee, and More Hit Switch in Indie Wave

The eShop got a big boost this week.

If you're a Nintendo Switch owner, this week the eShop is doing its best to drain your wallet dry. A number of titles from independent developers have hit the Switch this week. It presents a bit of a dilemma.

Key titles include Enter the Gungeon [Our Review], a roguelike dungeon crawler where you fight against weapons in order to get more weapons. The game is simple, with just shooting and dodging as your primary means of interaction, but you'll find the difficulty in surviving tense firefights. Yooka-Laylee [Our Review] is the Banjo-Kazooie successor players never got from Rare. Explore a bright, colorful world as the lizard Yooka and her bat companion Laylee.

Romancing Saga 2 is also getting a revival on Nintendo Switch. The game comes out tomorrow, December 15, and is a fully-localized version of the Super Famicom classic. Outside of the mobile ports, we've never received this game in English, so if you're up for a bit of retro role-playing action, look it up. SNK's other samurai fighter, The Last Blade, is also seeing a release as part of the Arcade Classics Neo-Geo collection.

The rest of the games coming to the eShop this week includes:

Remember, if you pick up any of these games, we want a 300 word report on why you purchased them and what you think about them.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. See our terms & conditions.

Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
