Epic Bringing New Styles to Older Fortnite Outfits

There's new gear options for Overtaker, Whiteout, and more.

Fortnite received the v8.10 update on all platforms earlier today, but one aspect that flew under the radar was an update for older outfits. Posting on the official Fortnite website today on March 12, the Fortnite Art Team announced new style options for older outfits.

Writing that they've "done a pass on previous outfits," there are now some new style options in your Fortnite Locker for older outfits. As of patch v8.10, the following outfits have received new cosmetic options:

  • Scarlet Defender
  • Elite Agent
  • Renegade Ranger
  • Waypoint
  • Overtaker
  • Whiteout

”Further into the future, we'll be working on more outfit styles and other broad stroke improvements to the art of Fortnite,” the blog post rounded out. "You can expect to see more improvements to lightning and the day/night cycle, improvements to wrap visuals, and much more."

It's nice to see Fortnite taking on some of the older outfits and updating them. As it is right now, none of the skins listed above make it on our ranking of the 30 best Fortnite skins. Maybe that will change with this update?

In any case, it certainly sounds like Epic is listening to feedback from the community. We should be getting some additional cosmetic changes to past outfits in Battle Royale, and we’ll report back on any future changes to more skins.

Fortnite Season 8 is well underway. We've got all the info, including the Fortnite Week 3 Challenges. We've also got The Fortnite Expedition Outpost Locations.
