Epic Games announced today that Fortnite is finally coming out of its development purgatory, launching into Early Access on July 25. The game will be available on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
"Bringing Fortnite to life has been a true labor of love by a talented and dedicated team over many years," says Fortnite creative director Darren Sugg. "We’re excited to share the experience and start playing along with more gamers in Early Access this summer."
Players interested in the Early Access period can pick up a Founder's Pack on the official site. These Founder's Packs offer a headstart into the game with a set of heroes, weapons, and exclusive items. They comes in Standard, Deluxe, Super Deluxe, and Limited Editions, costing $39.99, $59.99, $89.99, and $149.99 respectively. Folks who buy a Founder's Pack now can start playing on July 21, ahead of the Early Access launch.
Epic Games is also partnering with Gearbox Software for a boxed retail launch of the game.
