Epic Leaning Towards Reducing Pump Shotgun Equip Time in Fortnite Update 5.30

Update 5.30 for Fortnite is slated for next week.

Fortnite Update V5.30 is set to launch next week, and now we have the first info on one of the big changes. The "current thinking" is to make an adjustment to the way Pump Shotguns work.

This tease comes from Fortnite design lead Eric Williamson. In the tweet just below, Williamson stated that the "current thinking is to reduce Pump Shotgun equip time slightly in update 5.30". He then goes on to say that the update will be launching next week, and that other shotguns would remain unchanged for now.

Delving a little deeper into the meta of Fortnite Battle Royale, some players have seen shotguns as a problem for a while now. There has been previous backlash against the pure stopping power of shotguns, and the fact that they can basically be unbeatable in some scenarios. This change to Pump Shotguns (if it even goes ahead), will make make them even more appealing to those who use them.

Fortnite Season 8 is well underway. We've got all the info, including the Fortnite Week 3 Challenges. We've also got The Fortnite Expedition Outpost Locations.
