The Japanese Animal Crossing Direct Had a Few Exclusive Items

An electric guitar popped up in the Japanese Direct.

The latest Nintendo Direct focused solely on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Roughly 25 minutes of new footage and information aired, but it seems like there were a few slight differences between the Japanese and US presentations.

For example, the electric guitar below appeared in the Japanese Direct, but not the version that aired in the US. This is through dedicated translator PushDustin, who noted the slight discrepancy.

There's also a slightly ominous-looking skull hat. As with the electric guitar, this item appeared only in the Nintendo Direct that aired in Japan, and not in the version for the US. It's unclear yet whether these items are exclusive to the Japanese version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

There was a ton of new information from the Animal Crossing Direct. You can recap the entire presentation below, which includes terraforming terrain around the island, the ability to transfer old Animal Crossing designs into New Horizons via the Nintendo smartphone app, and much more. There's a ton to look forward to in New Horizons.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons launches March 20, 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. There's a really nice Switch bundle for the game releasing just before launch on March 13, including a pair of colorful new Joy-Cons.
