Ewok Hunt is Back in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Outlast the Murder-Bears This Weekend

Battlefront 2's E-E-E-E-E-Ewoks are one big happy happy family again.

If you go down in the woods today, you'd better not go alone. It's lovely down in the woods today, but safer to stay at home. Ewok Hunt is returning to Star Wars Battlefront 2 this weekend, which means it's time to plunge a makeshift spear into a Stormtrooper's eye and then scream a victorious battle cry.

Ben Walke, EA DICE's Global Manager, tweeted about the incoming hunt this morning. "It will reappear on Thursday afternoon CEST and run until Monday morning CEST," he wrote. "CEST," which stands for "Central European Summer Time," is nine hours ahead of PDT (Pacific Dayilght Time) and six hours ahead of EDT (Eastern Daylight Time).

Ewok Hunt, if you need a reminder, pits Stormtroopers against Ewoks a la the climactic battle in Return of the Jedi. Players either spawn as Ewoks or Stormtroopers. Stormtroopers are equipped with the Empire's best weaponry, whereas the Ewoks only have spears and race-skills. However, Ewoks also have the advantage of numbers and terrain—especially as Stormtroopers fall and respawn as one of their own, adding to the murderous teddy bears' numbers. When every Stormtrooper is dead, the match is over, and everyone is an Ewok. Everything is an Ewok. There are only Ewoks now.

Ewok Hunt is a very popular addition to Star Wars Battlefront 2, and it's seemingly eased a bit of the bad feelings left behind by the lootbox controversy shadowing the game.
