Explosive New Footage Released for Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Mode, Blackout

The eagerly anticipated Blackout mode is shown at the end of a new Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta trailer.

A brand new trailer highlighting the upcoming multiplayer beta for CoD Black Ops 4 has just been revealed, and it ends with the best look at the game's battle royale mode yet. It's a pretty brief snippet, but does give a few meaningful hints as to what players can expect from Blackout mode.

There are a couple of things that can be gleaned from the new trailer where Blackout is concerned. Firstly, we get a good look at some of the vehicles that players will be able to use, with boats, helicopters and quad bikes all making an appearance. Next is the fact that the game appears to allow players to team up in squads of four, as one team attempts to take down another pinning them down using a chopper-mounted machine gun.

CoD Black Ops 4 is primed to launch an open beta for its multiplayer, in which players will be given access to some of the game's maps, modes and specialists. It'll begin on August 3 on PS4, before being offered up to Xbox and PC players on August 10. There will be a seperate beta event for the CoD Black Ops 4 Blackout Battle Royale mode, though at present, we only know that it'll arrive at some point in September.
