Falcom Opens Teaser Site For Trails of Cold Steel 4

The developer said it wanted to release a sequel this year and it looks like we'll see it soon.

Falcom has opened up a brand-new teaser site for the next entry in the Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series. The site's full URL, "https://www.falcom.co.jp/sen4/", is what points to a Trails of Cold Steel entry, as the series' Japanese title is "The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki". The countdown on the site looks like it'll be ending on December 20, 2018 at 3PM JST.

Back in November during its financial results release, Falcom revealed that its was going to release Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 for PlayStation 4, alongside a new entry in the series. All three games are expected to launch by September 2018 in Japan. While Trails of Cold Steel III was intended as the last in the series, this next entry is the new conclusion.

"We actually intended to end the series with The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, but we thought it would be tough to end with one title and made a difficult decision," Falcom CEO Toshihiro Kondo told Dengeki PlayStation (translated via Gematsu). "[The next game] will truly be the last. We’re working for all the mysteries of the Empire Arc to reach the end of the line."

If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
