Bethesda Games Studios has revealed when players will finally get their first crack at Fallout 76, the upcoming spin-off from the Fallout series. The first beta will begin some time in October, with testing starting on Xbox One, then PlayStation 4, and finally PC. Bethesda will choose participants from the pool of players who have redeemed beta codes gained from pre-ordering Fallout 76 at retail.
We’re blown away by the response to the B.E.T.A. Still sorting out the details but we’ll start letting you break-it in October. First on XB1, then PS4 and PC. #PleaseStandBy https://t.co/3XIR7grard pic.twitter.com/YQISJvis0P— Bethesda Game Studios (@BethesdaStudios) July 23, 2018
"Starting in October we’ll be selecting people who have pre-ordered the game from a participating retailer to enter our B.E.T.A. We’ll start small and grow over time as we prepare for launch. Be sure you’ve read our F.A.Q., for details on how to redeem your B.E.T.A. code and other important details," said a Community Administrator on the Bethesda forums.
Bethesda will be revealing more details about the game during the Fallout 76 QuakeCon panel. The panel will be happening on Saturday, August 11 at 11am CT. QuakeCon 2018 will take place from August 9-12, 2018 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas.
