We knew Fallout 76 would be getting a beta before it launches in November, but now we finally have a date, for one platform at least. The Xbox One Beta for Fallout 76 will begin on October 23, worldwide.
The trailer just below was debuted by Bethesda today on September 27, to announce the beta date. However there's a catch to this beta date, as this is only for the Xbox One version of the game. For PC and PS4, the beta will kick off exactly a week later, on October 30.
The only way to gain access to the Fallout 76 beta is through pre-ordering the game itself. This isn't really an open beta as such, like Battlefield 5 recently ran earlier in September, but more of a closed beta for those who put down money ahead of launch.
The Beta won't be availalbe 24/7 on its release, with Bethesda hosting sessions for between four and eight hours at a time. In slightly better news, Bethesda has confirmed that progress made in the Beta will be carried over to the full game.
