FIFA 18 World Cup 2018 Update Out Now

Download size for FIFA 18's World Cup 2018 update revealed.

The World Cup 2018 update for FIFA 18 is out now, with the download being added to queues on PS4 and Xbox One (soon for PC and Nintendo Switch). The World Cup 2018 update adds the World Cup mode and a self-contained version of FIFA Ultimate Team.

The FIFA World Cup 2018 is right around the corner, and to get you in the mood EA has released its highly anticipated World Cup 2018 update for FIFA 18. The download, which should be added automatically to download queues, is approximately 4.5 GB in size.

While the real life World Cup 2018 Russia doesn't kick off until June 14 (with the opening ceremony, followed by the first game between Russia and Saudi Arabia), you can play your own virtual version of the tournament right now. EA has also included teams that didn't qualify, so you can create a customised version of the event.

Alongside a recreation of the World Cup itself, a special World Cup 2018 version of FIFA Ultimate Team has also been included. This will see player cards getting updated throughout the tournament and a special line-up of 17 World Cup Icons.

If you're waiting for the World Cup 2018 update to arrive for the mobile version of FIFA 18, you're going to have to wait a little longer. FIFA Mobile is scheduled to get the World Cup 2018 update on June 6.

EA recently ran a simulation of the FIFA World Cup using FIFA 18 which saw France emerge as the winners. If you want more info on the FIFA 18 World Cup update, head to our FIFA 18 World Cup guide hub. We've also got a huge amount of FIFA 18 guides if you're coming to the game for the first time.
