FIFA Neymar Cover is Not FIFA 20 Cover, EA Confirms
EA speaks on the recent FIFA 20 cover leak.
The cover and star for EA's FIFA 20 seemingly leaked earlier this week, or did it? According to EA, the cover you've been seeing online for FIFA 20 is not actually going to be the cover at all.
Footy Headlines reported on the "leaked" FIFA 20 cover, which shows soccer player Neymar because it also shows off the new Paris Saint-Germaine soccer jersey. However, EA has told USG that this is in fact not the cover for FIFA 20.
"The images that have recently surfaced are not the FIFA 20 cover," an EA spokesperson said in an email.
What's curious is that Footy Headlines reported on the cover based on a leak from GameStop. But EA seems adamant that this is not going to be the cover for FIFA 20, which is expected to be revealed this weekend at EA's E3 event, EA Play.

Though a popular soccer player, Neymar has recently been accused of rape. FIFA 19's cover star Cristiano Ronaldo was also accused of rape earlier this year and EA removed Ronaldo from all promotional materials related to FIFA 19. They replaced Ronaldo on the cover of FIFA 19 with three other soccer players including, ironically, Neymar.
It's unclear if the recent allegations against Neymar has forced yet another change to a FIFA cover, but since FIFA 20 hasn't officially been revealed yet, the cover with Neymar could have just been an early proposal.
Either way, the current leaked cover of FIFA 20 will certainly not be the final cover. Check out our E3 2019 guide for EA's reveal schedule.
