Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers Post-Launch Roadmap Revealed, Including Eden Raid Release Date
Here's when you can jump into the first raid for Shadowbringers.
Final Fantasy 14's next expansion, Shadowbringers, is just weeks away and Square Enix has revealed what players can expect once the new content launches. This includes the release dates for the high-end raid content coming to Shadowbringers.
The first raid-level content for Shadowbringers will come out with the 5.01 patch on July 16. The normal difficulty high-level raid, Eden, will be available about two weeks after the launch of Shadowbringers. Then, on July 30, the savage difficulty Eden raid will be available with Patch 5.05.
Alongside the savage difficulty raid, there will be a new treasure hunt dungeon called Lyhe Ghiahl, as well as the new Allagan tomestone of Phantasmagoria currency. The tomestones are used to purchase higher level gear, and they'll likely be necessary to gear up for the Savage-level raid.
Shadowbringers will come out officially on July 2, though anyone who pre-orders the expansion can get early access on June 28. At launch there will be some new features alongside the story content including updates to crafting and gathering classes that should make leveling more streamlined; quality of life improvements to UI, storage, and inventory; and a new Spriggan World in the Chaos data center.
Shadowbringers is the third expansion to Final Fantasy 14 and the launch trailer promises some major changes to the world of Eorzea and beyond. The player will become the Warrior of Darkness and Square Enix has hinted at the conclusion of major storylines. If the trailers are anything to go by, Shadowbringers could be the most dramatic expansion since A Realm Reborn.
