Final Fantasy 7 Remake Players Are Buying Copies For Those Affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic

Here's a nice story to brighten your Monday morning.

It's nearly here. We're now into the official launch week of Final Fantasy 7 Remake (even if multiple territories have already got it). With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging around the world, the Final Fantasy 7 community has come together to support each other in the week of launch.

Head over to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake subreddit right now, and you'll see multiple posts where people are offering to give away a copy of the game to someone. Ideally, this someone that would be receiving the game would be someone that's been affected by the worldwide pandemic (in America alone, there have been over 10 million jobless claims in the past two weeks).

But the offer from the Final Fantasy community members gets better. If you go into some of the posts offering to give away a copy of the game, you'll find that multiple people have also rallied together to give away additional copies. For example in the post below, there are ten total copies of Final Fantasy 7 Remake ready to be given away to people that have been affected by COVID-19.

In general, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake subreddit is a pretty wholesome place right now. There are multiple posts from people who have just purchased a PS4, in many cases their first console since they were young, to play the remake.

The full game might not be here just yet, but our review of the remake is. Head over to our full Final Fantasy 7 Remake review, to see what Kat made of one of the most anticipated games in recent memory.
