Final Fantasy XIV Lets You Play Up To Level 35 For Free

Square Enix kills the time limit on the game's free trial.

With the Stormblood expansion right around the corner, Square Enix is doing what it can to get players into Final Fantasy XIV. The game previously had a free trial version, which let players enjoy the game up to 35 or 14 days, whichever came first. Today, the company announced that the time restriction is completely gone.

"The Final Fantasy XIV free trial has unequipped its 14-day time restriction. Free trial players are now able to access all content up to level 35 without any clock ticking the play time away! Adventurers can try out awesome jobs, test their skills on the first 10 levels of the Deep Dungeon and indulge in all the activities the Gold Saucer has to offer, such as Chocobo Racing!" wrote Square Enix community rep Daniela Wnuk over on the PlayStation Blog.

Folks who participated in the free trial before, but didn't reach the level restriction will find their account reactivated for play, so they can pick up right where they left off.

If you haven't tried Final Fantasy XIV, now is the time to do so. It's a great game and Square Enix is making a host of changes for Stormblood that should make it even easier for players to enjoy all the MMO has to offer.
