Square Enix revealed the final release date of Final Fantasy XIV's next update, Patch 4.3. The patch, entitled "Under the Moonlight", will continue Stormblood's primary tale of the revolution in Doma. The publisher also released a new trailer for the patch's story content.

Most of the upcoming patch was detailed in the earlier Letter from the Producer Live Part XLIII stream in mid-April. In addition to the main scenario missions, there will be new Beast Tribe quests focused around crafting jobs and the Namazu, a new dungeon, and a new Ultimate-tier Trial called the Weapon's Refrain. The Trial will see players taking on Garuda, Titan, and Ifrit.

There's a new 24-person Alliance Raid that continues the Return to Ivalice series, taking players to the Ridorana Lighthouse. In today's steam on the patch, special guest and Final Fantasy Tactics writer Yasumi Mastuno revealed that the Return to Ivalice content will likely conclude in patch 4.5. Gear from the raid will be inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII.

Square Enix also detailed which content will be coming to 4.3 sub-patches. The Ultimate Trial will coming in Patch 4.31. Patch 4.35 will see the launch on Heaven-on-High, the new version of the Deep Dungeon concept. Players will need to be level 61 or higher to enter the dungeon, which is within the Ruby Sea. Heaven-on-High has 100 floors in total, with the first 30 being the base scenario and the subsequent floors are a high-end challenge. Players will gain weapons by trading points of strength from tokens, and then tokens for the weapons themselves; Palace of the Dead will also switch over to this system.

The further adventures of Hildibrand will also happen in Patch 4.35. Patch 4.36 will see the expansion of the Forbidden Land Eureka with the new Pagos Expedition.

Square Enix also announced the dates for Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2018-2019, which will take place on February 2-3, 2018 at the La Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris, France. The Eorzean Symphony concert will be on June 15-16 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Finally, the next Letter From the Producer will take place on June 12, 2018 at 11AM PT.

Man, I haven't played a FF this good since FF X. I didn't play FF XIV for a loooong time cuz I worked side by side with the QA team that worked on 1.0 who said the game was bad and shouldn't have been released so incomplete. Yoshi P really turned this game around.
