Fire Emblem Heroes is Changing Summoning in a Big Way
You can now select any hero from an event, after a certain amount of pulls.
Fire Emblem Heroes just announced a brand new update. In a new trailer, the owl mascot for the mobile game announced there would be a pretty big change to the way summoning works going forward.
You can see the full update from the owl mascot just below (yes, that is Cassandra Lee Morris, the same actor for Sothis). In the update, it's revealed that after 40 summons in a single summoning event, you'll be able to manually select the next character that you obtain from that single event.

If you're unfamiliar with Fire Emblem Heroes, it's a mobile game that operates around gacha mechanics. You spend Orbs, either earned or purchased, on Summoning Events, which offer you the chance of obtaining a select few elite heroes, like characters from Three Houses.
As you might imagine, obtaining the most popular heroes is incredibly rare. With this new update, you'll be able to select any hero from an event, and obtain them after your 40th pull from an event, so if you're after one hero in particular from an event, you're guaranteed to get them eventually.
As someone who plays Fire Emblem Heroes nearly every day, this is a welcome update. I don't even want to think about how many Orbs I used on trying to pull Lystithea and Bernadetta from Fire Emblem: Three Houses in a recent event, but this update means I'm guaranteed to get one of them eventually. Thank god.
