Fire Emblem's Ashen Wolves Students Can Be Recruited to Other Houses

Fire Emblem's Ashen Wolves Students Can Be Recruited to Other Houses

Treat them to some time out of the sewers.

When the new Ashen Wolves students arrive in Fire Emblem: Three Houses next month, they won't be stranded in their separate campaign. It turns out you can actually recruit the new students from the sewers to the three main houses of the game.

The reveal comes from the Japanese Fire Emblem Twitter account. We knew previously that you'd be able to bring in house leaders from the Blue Lions, Golden Deer, and Black Eagles to the Ashen Wolves' house' adventure, but we now know you can recruit Yuri, Hapi, Constance, and Baltus to the three existing houses of Garreg Mach.

This goes a long way to making the new Ashen Wolves house feel more integrated into the main portion of Three Houses. So although the house will act as its own fourth playthrough option from the main menu of the game, you can still recruit its basement kids into the big houses upstairs.

I just can't wait to recruit Yuri, the best twink of them all. The newcomers being based in the sewers under Garreg Mach leads to questions as to how Rhea and Seteth have allowed students to live down there all this time (spoilers: the monastery is very badly organized).

So far, the DLC for the Expansion Pass in Three Houses has included new outfits for male and female Byleth, new attire for most of the students, a pair of glasses for Byleth, new Auxiliary battles, and the sauna being unlocked for use. Past DLC also makes the merchant Anna available to be recruited to your house, as well as unlocking a Sothis outfit for Byleth. Spicy.

The Cindered Shadows expansion, which contains the Ashen Wolves characters, releases in Fire Emblem: Three Houses on February 12. The expansion can't be purchased separately from the Expansion Pass, so you'll need to own the pass to be able to be able to access the four new students.
