For Honor Closed Beta Coming End of This Month

Ubisoft's medieval combat title will be launching into closed beta later this month.

Ubisoft has announced that For Honor will be launching into its closed beta from January 26-29, 2017. Players looking to sign up for the beta test ahead of the closed beta period can do so on the official site.

For Honor is a medieval combat game pitting three factions - Vikings, Samurai, and Knights - against one another in pitched battles. The game's focus is multiplayer, though there is a story campaign offering background on the world and the primary antagonist, the warlord Apollyon.

For Honor Is Always Online, Even For Single-Player

Beta players are encouraged to align themselves with one of the three combat factions and prove themselves victorious in the beta. The collective action will feed into the War of the Factions, offering achievements and additional rewards that will be transferred to the final game. Picking a faction does not lock you into that faction in the game itself; you're still free to play any faction in-game during the closed beta and live game.

For Honor is scheduled for release on February 14 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
