Fortnite Gets a Borderlands 3 'Mayhem' Crossover Event

And the new patch 10.20 is out right now.

Get ready for mayhem, because there's a brand new Fortnite/Borderlands crossover event on right now. The new event sees a certain area of the map taken over by Pandora, and you and your teammates can play as any one of the four new Vault Hunters set to star in Borderlands 3 next month.

Below, you can see the trailer for the new Fortnite x Borderlands crossover event. When you enter the specific area that's been taken over on the map, you and your squad will take on the general Borderlands aesthetic, and the area also functions differently, with shields automatically regenerating after four seconds of not taking damage.

Pandora in the Fortnite map will be available up to September 10, which is just before Borderlands 3 launches on September 13. Elsewhere in patch 10.20 for all platforms, the Shield Bubble is a new item, which deploys a protective bubble for you and your team to take cover under.

Next, there's some tweaks to the hated B.R.U.T.E. mech. Once a player enters the mech, you'll still be able to see an icon representing their location on the map. Epic feels as though this will "increase awareness" of the mech's presence and location to all other players in the game, hopefully allowing people to avoid the mech.

Finally, the Storm Flip, Drum Gun, and Storm Scout Rifle have all been vaulted in patch 10.20 on all platforms. So long, Drum Gun, you've been a blessing for spraying and praying.
