Epic Games announced a host of quality of life improvements for Fortnite Battle Royale on iOS. But for fans who are still out in the cold because they don't have an iPhone or iPad, well Fortnite is coming to Android this summer.
In a blog post today, Epic announced that Fortnite should be coming to Android soon with Epic targeting a summer release.
Epic also outlined several changes for Fortnite mobile that were made to the game or coming soon. First, Fortnite iOS now has customizable HUD that lets players rearrange the various HUD elements on the screen.
Epic is also working on fine-tuning the gameplay and controls, making the installation size smaller and update experience speedier, and optimizing game performance and stability. These changes are ongoing and should hopefully make the game function better on mobile.
Lastly, Epic is working on bringing voice chat to the mobile version of Fortnite so that players can communicate with one another. The voice chat will be cross-platform so players on mobile can talk with console and PC players. Also, Epic is working on making voice chat as easy to use as possible, with simple mute options, or open mic changes. No word yet on when voice chat will come to the mobile Fortnite game.
Fortnite is currently holding a new limited time event, but this time by offering players actual prizes in the form of V-Bucks. You can check our complete Fortnite guide for all the news on the latest events.
