Fortnite Developer Update Details Planned V4.3 Improvements, New Limited Events

Quality of life improvements galore.

Epic Games released another State of Development update today that detailed all the ongoing development plans for the game. And it's a doozy. Among the many changes coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale are improvements for build controls on consoles, a new limited-time mode, and several quality of life changes.

First, console players will be pleased to know that Epic is working on Builder Pro improvements for consistency and fixes to Turbo Building. This will prevent gaps in your structures and better aiming while building thanks to aim assist. However, you'll be able to turn aim assist off if you so choose.

Moving on, Epic also explained the next Limited Time Mode called Playground. The mode is as the name implies and gives players longer time to battle and build and roam. Increased resource generation means that players will be able to play around in the map without feeling the pressures of a time constraint. You can also scrimmage with your squad thanks to instant respawns.

This follows the jetpack limited time item which is going to go live with the Close Encounters mode tomorrow. Epic is taking feedback on these rare items to determine future events, and maybe even add a permanent large squad mode akin to 50v50 in constant rotation.

As for quality of life improvements, starting with v4.3, players can expect better notifications for challenge progression, in-world markers, and a higher-resolution minimap.d That's atop the load time optimization and server performance upgrades common in every update.
