Fortnite Battle Royale Teams of 20 is the Next Limited Time Mode

We already shot each other in big teams. Let's do it again, but with smaller teams.

While PUBG attracts players with its straightforward rule set ("Die immediately, die later, or survive"), Fortnite Battle Royale likes to play Calvinball with its rules. New game modes are always trickling down the pipeline, and here's one more: "Victory Royale," a limited time mode (LTM) that pits five teams of 20 against each other. Whew.

The official Fortnite Twitter account confirmed the existence of Victory Royale earlier today, along with a release date for the new mode: Tomorrow. Speculation preceded the official announcement on the Fortnite subreddit by several hours after one redditor, JDFive, posted a screenshot of Victory Royale's "Coming Soon" blurb.

Behold: The Prophecy.

Epic Games is always tinkering with Fortnite, particularly the Battle Royale sub-game. Late last year saw the release of 50 vs 50 mode, and the sizable 3.1.0 patch went live earlier this month. We occasionally stream Fortnite during the USgamer Lunch Hour, so be sure to check in every Tuesday and Thursday to see if we're going on a colorful killing spree that day.
