Fortnite Has Helicopters Now

You can find Choppas on helicopter pads around the map.

I suppose it was always bound to happen at some point. Fortnite Battle Royale has just introduced helicopters in a patch for the game that went live earlier today on all platforms.

The 'Choppa' has been deployed in patch v12.20 for Fortnite Battle Royale. You can see a little snippet of the helicopter in action just below, which can now be found on the helicopter pads that were previously empty around the Fortnite map. Oh, and Deadpool features in the trailer for the Choppa just below, for some reason (it's a positive change from his hideout in the game's menu systems).

The Choppas hold five people all in all: one pilot, and two players standing on either side of the helicopter itself. Unlike the fighter planes in Fortnite last year, the helicopters don't have any weapons, so you'll be entirely defenseless if you take to the skies in one by yourself.

Outside of this, one of the other headline additions in patch v12.20 for Fortnite are new areas on the map. There's now an update to the Oil Rig which has the drilling platform nearly destroyed, with wreckage floating all around the offshore location, as well as the new Pleasant Park soccer pitch.

Patch v12.20 is now available to download for Fortnite Battle Royale. You can download it on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Android, iOS, Mac, and anything else that I've forgotten to mention here.
