Fortnite Player Reaches Spawn Island Thanks to the Almighty Shopping Cart

The promised land.

Spawn Island is the name of the starting area that players hang out in until the game ropes in 100 players. Then it's off to the main island you go to fight to become the last player standing. But what if during the match you found a way to return to the haven of Spawn Island? Thanks to the Shopping Cart, you now can.

The thing about Spawn Island is that you can see it from the main island, only of course it's impossible to actually get to. Trying to get there from the main island is a popular enough hobby for players, but until the arrival of the Shopping Cart it's been physically impossible to pull off the stunt. But with YouTuber OrangeGuy's trick it's now possible to glitch your way across the chasm and jump from main island to Spawn Island.

The trick involves building a tall ramp on the edge of the main island facing Spawn Island. If you grab a cart and ride down the ramp, you'll find yourself hitting the invisible barrier separating the two landmasses. Push a little harder and you'll float above the barrier and glitch onto Spawn Island.

It's a neat trick and one that players are already replicating online and on social media. The dream of venturing towards Spawn Island during a Battle Royale match has finally been achieved.
