Fortnite Players Discover a Gross Giant Eyeball Under the Island. Is it a Godzilla Movie Tie-in?

I feel like somebody's watching me.

There's a giant monster living beneath Fortnite's island and it's probably going to do something next season. This is after players recently discovered a gross giant eyeball frozen underneath Polar Peak.

Every season, Epic Games hides a couple easter eggs that teases what's to come in the next content season of Fortnite. This time it appears that there is something very big trapped underneath the island.

If you head down into Polar Peak you will find a large eyeball attached to an even larger creature. What's more, the creature is awake as the eye will look at you, blink, and follow you around if you move. I'm not a betting man, but I suspect this creature will be making an appearance in Fortnite before long.

There's something vaguely dragonic about this eye, and if I had to hazard a guess, there's a chance this creature could tie-into the upcoming Godzilla film. Fortnite has been going on a movie tie-in spree this year starting with Avengers: Endgame and John Wick Chapter 3. Godzilla is just around the corner and this frozen eye could pair nicely with the film's release.

If not, there's certainly going to be more easter eggs and story developments coming to Fortnite's battle island in the coming weeks. These small narrative beats are the basis of Fortnite's seasonal "stories" so who knows what else is hidden in the island, waiting to be discovered.
