Fortnite Season 4 Starts Tomorrow with a Bang

It's time. Have you performed whatever rituals are necessary for your species?

Here it comes. After weeks of teasing and taunting, Fortnite Season 4 is finally ready to land. Quite literally, it seems. A tweet from the official Fortnite Twitter account declares "Brace for impact! Witness Season 4 tomorrow [May 1]" and punctuates its grand statement with a hazy image of four mysterious-looking figures standing amidst rubble.

Whatever happens tomorrow, it's going to be a game-changer—maybe apocalyptically so. A comet's been hovering over Tilted Towers for a few weeks now, but the adverse effects of that comet ramped up last week. Meteors are falling from the sky, demolishing structures and players. Televisions in-game are running emergency notices non-stop. And Epic Games' own Twitter account has gradually been introducing superhero imagery and language onto its feed, suggesting that however Season 3 ends—via meteor impact, alien invasion, whatever—Fortnite is going to need heroes to clean up the mess and / or restore the world to working order.

You're going to want to keep up-to-date on all the cool and worrying things going down, so make sure to visit our guide to Season 4 of Fortnite. And whatever happens, you need to make sure you can always fall back on your basic skills. That's why we have an exhaustive guide to everything you need to know about fighting and building in Fortnite.
