Fortnite Welcomes a New Ice Orb Overlord

This would be nice in a big Old Fashioned.

A new mystery appeared on Fortnite's island today in the form of a massive orb of ice. It joins a series of mysterious new objects that have appeared on the island that no doubt lay the groundwork for Season 8.

The unofficial countdown to the next season of Fortnite has begun again as the new mysteries have sprung up over the Fortnite battle island. The mysterious giant ice orb is just the latest in a series of mysteries that appeared with update 7.20. The true nature of the orb is unknown, but it'll no doubt begin to do some freaky things the closer we get to Season 8.

Other new mysteries on the island include an iceberg that later melted to reveal a new bunker. The last bunker opened to reveal rifts and portals, so who knows what kind of science is hiding underneath this new one. Maybe it's Fortnite's version of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault?

Alongside these new mysteries, the Fortnite 7.20 update brought with it a revamped version of the glider redeploy and the Scoped Revolver. There's still time to finish the challenges for the season, so check out our Fortnite Season 7 guide as well.
