Fortnite Season 9 Patch Notes Are Here, v9.00 Includes Slipstreams and a Combat Shotgun

Fortnite Season 9 is now finally upon us. The full slate of Season 9 patch notes have now been published on the official Fortnite website, containing new weapons, locations, and much more.

Firstly, the new method of transportation around the map is through the Slipstreams. These are basically tunnels of wind which carry players around the map, and projectiles and even vehicles can also enter the Slipstreams.

Then there's the new Combat Shotgun. As if there weren't already enough shotguns in Fortnite Battle Royale, this new semi-automatic shotgun holds 10 shells, firing 9 pellets at once for 70+ damage, and is available in Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants.

There are plenty of items with Fortnite Season 9 that have been vaulted. Clingers, Buried Treasure, Pump Shotguns, Scoped Revolvers, Suppressed Assault Rifles, Thermal Assault Rifles, and Balloons are all now gone from Battle Royale.
