Fortnite Teases a Brand New Weapon "Fit for a King"

"Coming soon."

Melee weapons aren't really a thing in Fortnite Battle Royale. The closest thing we have right now is the pickaxe, and it takes a fair few hits to take down a player with this.

But now, for the first time, Fortnite could be getting a proper melee weapon. In the tweet below from the official Fortnite Twitter account, you can see a character lifting a sword out of a stone.

As of right now, there's really no way of knowing what this means for certain. It has to have something to do with Battle Royale however, as we can clearly see the castle at Haunted Hills covered in snow, where the character lifts up the sword.

We'll keep an ear out for any additional details, and make sure to report back as soon as we hear anything further from Epic.

In other Fortnite news, the challenges from the debut week of Season 7 are still around to be completed. If you need a helping hand with this, head over to our Fortnite Forbidden Woods guide.
