Fortnite Update v6.30 is Out Now, Introduces New Wild West Mode

I'm a cowboy, baby.

Update v6.30 is out now for all Fortnite Battle Royale players, on all platforms. The update introduces a brand new Wild West LTM, as well as a new grenade.

Over on the official Fortnite website, the patch notes were revealed. "Use weapons from frontier times in this Limited Time Mode to earn a Victory Royale!" is the description of the new Wild West mode, so it sounds a lot like the mode will play out like a standard match of Battle Royale, but only featuring certain weapons, including the Six Shooter, hunting rifle, minigun, and pump shotgun.

Speaking of weapons, there's the introduction of the Dynamite in update v6.30 for Fortnite. You can cook this item until you're ready to throw it, and it sounds like the Dynamite has a significantly longer fuse time than your standard grenade.

Elsewhere in Fortnite Battle Royale, the previous week's challenges are still available to be completed, with less than two weeks left until Season 6 ends. For a list of all available challenges, head over to our Fortnite Week 8 Challenges guide.
