Fortnite V5.40 Content Update Out Now, Adds New Suppressed Assault Rifle
Fixes for The Getaway are inbound.
Fortnite Content Update V5.40 has just hit Epic's massive game, and it's added a brand new deadly weapon to an already varied arsenal of weapons. The Suppressed Assault Rifle has arrived in-game for Battle Royale players, and it's going to cause havoc.
Over on the official Epic website, the developer announced the brand new update for Fortnite Battle Royale, available to download on all platforms right now. The addition of the Suppressed Assault Rifle is key here, and could potentially be a game-changing weapon, depending on how accurate it is from a distance, but at the very least it boasts an impressive 32/33 damage rating in Epic and Legendary rarities, respectively.

Elsewhere in Content Update V5.40 for Fortnite, there's fixes for The Getaway mode. "Players in the Getaway LTM can no longer land on the van without building," reads the patch notes for the mode. In addition to this, the "Jewel will no longer appear in inventory hotbar after being put in the Down-But-Not-Out state".
There's no new Limited Time Mode this week in Fortnite Battle Royale, as The Getaway mode is still live. For a complete walkthrough of how to complete all challenges associated with the LTM, head over to our Fortnite High Stakes Challenges guide.
