Fortnite Battle Royale has temporarily been taken offline in the early hours of October 24, for the arrival of Fortnitemares, the new Halloween celebration. Over on the official Fortnite website, Epic detailed everything new coming in update v6.20 for Battle Royale.
Fortnitemares heads up the new arrivals for Battle Royale players in the update. You can see the debut trailer for the festivities just below, which include a change to the floating cube beneath the island, as well as as new Gliders and skins.
Elsewhere in Fortnite v6.20, there's the new Six Shooter. This new weapon is sure to pack a punch in Battle Royale, and you can see it just below, coming in Uncommon, Rare, and Epic varieties.
Epic briefly revealed that the ability to redeploy Gliders in-game would be coming to Fortnite Battle Royale, and it's here in update v6.20. Whenever you jump from a height of more than three stories, you can redeploy your Glider, letting you quickly move around the map and get the drop on other players.
Finally, there's some new additions for the Battle Royale Playground mode. After update v6.20 has been downloaded, you can find a new pirate minigame in Playground, and there are also changes to the Spiky Stadium items.
