Fortnite v6.21 Patch Notes Introduces Balloons, Vaults the Guided Missile Launcher

Farewell, old friend.

Epic has today published the latest patch notes for Fortnite Battle Royale. Patch v6.21 will be launching in a matter of hours, and introduces... balloons?

Over on the Epic Games website, the patch notes were revealed in full. The balloons are the brand new feature, and you can use them to raise yourself up off the ground, before someone probably shoots you out of the sky.

Elsewhere, Fortnitemares is due to end on November 4. "Finish your Fortnitemares Challenges by then to unlock the Dark Engine Glider and be in-match at that time to witness the event," reads the patch notes, indicating that a special in-game event is going to occur right around 1 pm ET on Sunday.

Finally, the Semi-Auto Sniper, Guided Missile, Dual Pistols have been taken out of Battle Royale (although they'll still be available in Playground).

He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
