Fortnite v9.30 Patch Notes Introduces the Chug Splash

Yeet the Chug Splash.

The new Fortnite v9.30 patch notes are here, and the headline item is the new Chug Splash. Elsewhere Trios returns as a Battle Royale mode, bringing three-player action back to the game.

The Chug Splash's main use is going to be in squad-based gameplay. You can throw the item to create a brief healing aura in a small area, so it's perfect for healing your teammates in Squads or even Duos. While the Chug Splash grants you a shield and restores health, it can also extend the knocked down timer for any of your allies within the area of effect.

In the LTM rotation, Sniper Shootout Duos is back, where the only weapons you can find anywhere on the Battle Royale map are all sniper rifles. Solid Gold Squads also returns, where every single weapon you find is guaranteed to be of the Legendary variety.

The Boom Bow, Dual Pistols, and Dynamite have all been vaulted. In addition, you also can't ride the projectiles from the Grenade Launcher any more, and Toys won't show up in the elimination feed on the starting island.

In Fortnite Creative, you can now create your own Prop Hunt game, similar to the popular mode in Call of Duty: WW2. Transform into a prop to hide from opponents, in this neat twist on normal gameplay.
