Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is Now Live, Introduces Special Agents

Agents, suit up.

The next season of Fortnite Battle Royale has finally arrived. Season 2 of Chapter 2 is now available to download on all platforms, introducing a brand new theme: Special Agents.

You can see the introductory cinematic trailer for Season 2 below. This is business as usual for Fortnite, which always puts out one of these flashy cinematics in-game as a new season launches, introducing the theme of the new season. You'll be greeted with this cinematic when you boot up Fortnite after downloading the latest patch.

This time, everyone's gearing up as special agents. No, this doesn't appear to be some sort of crossover with No Time to Die, the next James Bond movie due out in April, but characters like Peely the banana and more have a brand new getup, complete with a special agent's suit.

As always, there's a brand new Battle Pass for the new season. You can check out all the weird and wonderful new character skins and other accessories available through the Battle Pass, which you'll need to purchase as usual to gain access to.

The patch introducing Season 2 to Fortnite is out right now on mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. The update weighs in at around 10GB, and roughly 8GB on consoles, so it shouldn't take you too long to get up and running with the new seasonal event.

There's also a hidden Deadpool room within Fortnite's main menu. The visiting Marvel character offers a bunch of new challenges, and can briefly be seen in the new cinematic trailer.
