Gaming YouTuber Faces Two Years in Prison After Feeding Homeless Man Toothpaste-filled Oreos

Kanghua "ReSet" Ren primarily plays Fortnite Battle Royale and anime games on his channel.

A YouTuber named Kanghua Ren is facing up to two years in prison after filming a video for YouTube where he pranks a homeless man by giving him Oreos filled with toothpaste.

According to reports from the Independent, Kanghua is facing charges for a crime against moral integrity. Prosecutors are suggesting that Kanghua pay a €30,000 (~$37,000) fine as further penalty.

Reports and prosecutors say that Kanghua filmed himself making oreo cookies with toothpast filling and then offering them to a homeless man along with a €20 bill. "This will help him clean his teeth. I think he hasn't cleaned them since he became poor," said Kanghua.

The homeless man reportedly vomited five minutes after eating the cookies. What's more, Prosecutors say that Kanghua offered the man €300 to remain silent about the prank. Though prosecutors allege that this is a pattern of behavior for Kanghua as he reportedly offered sandwiches filled with cat excrement to children and elderly people for his YouTube channel. None of these videos are currently available on his YouTube channel.

Kanghua is a Chinese-born Barcelona-based vlogger who operates a popular YouTube channel under the name ReSet. Her currently has 1.2 million subscribers and his video history is filled with a mix of pranks, anime games, and most recently Fortnite: Battle Royale.

In fact, his YouTube channel hosts a banner with his ReSet name and under it the games "Fortnite and LoL," are listed. Though there aren't actually videos of him playing League of Legends in his Video history. Furthermore, his primary content seems to be pranks and stunts as he's only posted Fortnite videos in the last three weeks, while his oldest videos range back as far as two years.

It's likely that given Fortnite's popularity Kanghua has only recently started playing the game on his channel to get in on the popularity of the battle royale game. After all, Twitch streamers like Ninja often break records and make incredible amounts of money from playing Fortnite alone.

Meanwhile YouTube and other video stars have often ran into trouble with the public. PewDiePie lost much of his original programming deals with YouTube after saying a racial slur during his livestreams. Ninja also caused a stir after he said the same slur on his own channel.
