Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How to Kill Walker Early

You can actually kill the big bad of Breakpoint early on in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Here’s how.

In this article is a secret way to kill the main villain in Breakpoint. Spoilers ahead!

Ubisoft games often include a secret way to kill the main villain. It seems that Ghost Recon Breakpoint is no exception, as you can actually kill Cole D. Walker in the very first mission. In this guide, we’ll lead you through killing Walker early, and give you an idea as to the consequences of doing so. If you’ve managed to kill Walker some other way, then let us know in the comments below!

How to Kill Walker Early

The very first mission in Ghost Recon Breakpoint sees you fleeing the crash site of your chopper. You’ll be tasked with heading towards three more crash sites to check on your allies. Cole Walker will show up at the second, meaning you can technically kill him there and then. Here’s how:

  1. Head to the first crash site and examine the objective.
  2. Instead of going to the next nearest crash site, head to the farthest one.
  3. Checking this objective will allow you to head back to Erewhon.
  4. You can then return to the site of the second crash at any time, to take on Walker.

Easiest Way to Kill Walker Early

In our playthrough of Breakpoint, we were able to snipe Walker with a headshot, killing him in one hit. This can be extremely difficult however, so we recommend bringing either a rocket launcher or grenade launcher. Following the method detailed above allows you to head back to Erewhon and then return with better weapons. Aim for the area around the chopper to disable it, you can then take down Walker.

How Do You Know That Walker is Dead?

You’ll know that you’ve killed Walker because you’ll complete the Brother vs Brother storyline. You’ll get a pop-up saying so, and a new signature weapon called the Sharp Thunder. It’s a hand cannon. There’s also the Silver Stake Tactical assault rifle that you’ll earn for killing him.

That’s how to kill Walker early in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. For more on the game, why not check out our guides on Weapons and Bivouacs.
