Tango Gameworks, Shinji Mikami's video game studio, announced a new IP today at Bethesda's E3 2019 press conference. Titled, Ghostwire Tokyo, the new game is described as an action-adventure occult game, not a survival horror game.
The trailer for Ghostwire Tokyo shows off a city where the inhabitants have mysteriously disappeared. Game director Ikumi Nakamura has describted Ghostwire as a "new kind of action-adventure game" that's more spooky thank survival horror.
Players will investigate the city, uncover hidden conspiracies and dive deeper into the occult. Don't expect zombies, but rather spirits and other supernatural elements.
This is the next game following The Evil Within 2, which is a more traditional survival horror gae from Shinji Mikami.
No release date for Ghostwire Tokyo, but check out our Bethesda E3 2019 guide for more coverage of today's event.
