It's been about a year since we first saw Ghostwire: Tokyo. While we only saw a very brief concept trailer for the game last year, this time we know Tango Gameworks' next project is coming to the PlayStation 5.
There was a brief gameplay trailer revealed for Ghostwire: Tokyo at the PS5 games event earlier today on June 11. It's a first-person action game, with stunning lighting that puts a supernatural twist on Tokyo.
In the gameplay trailer for Tango Gameworks' project, we can see groups of people running around a fluorescent cityscape. There seems to be a heavy photography element to Ghostwire, with characters using cameras for quick snapshots throughout the trailer.
You might remember this as the game that Ikumi Nakamura presented for Bethesda at E3 2019. The cheerful creative director at Tango presented the game to a joyous reception, which sort of shot her to superstar fame overnight. This time though, Resident Evil veteran Shinji Mikami presented the gameplay trailer, since Nakamura departed Tango Gameworks last year in 2019.
Right now, there's no firm release date for Ghostwire: Tokyo. All we know is that it'll be coming to the PlayStation 5, and it'll be releasing at some point in 2021.
