God of War is one pretty game, no doubt about it. As you might expect from such a good-looking title, it's going to have a photo mode. Here's the twist: It probably won't be available at launch. In fact, it won't be available until Creative Director Cory Barlog thinks of something "cool."
"[Photo mode is] something that we’re definitely looking at," Barlog told The Daily Star in an interview published today. "The photo mode has got to be something really cool. Like people have sort of raised the bar on photo mode. I think I’d like to follow suit in that respect and put something out. Something where I think 'that’s great'. Like something that can stand toe-to-toe with some of the better photo modes out there."
Sounds like Barlog might be a little inspired by games like Super Mario Odyssey—games with robust photo modes that make it impossible to resist sharing snaps. Barlog, if you're reading this, I'm putting in my vote for a photo mode that lets you apply sparkly anime eyes and bling to Kratos. I guarantee it'll be a hit.
