One trend we've gotten use to over the past few years is the growth in Season Passes. For one discounted price, you can get access to all of the downloadable content (DLC) a developer has planned for a title. There have been Season Passes for a number of major single-player titles, including Final Fantasy XV, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Assassin's Creed: Origins.
It looks like the latest God of War game won't be following the trend though. Game director Cory Barlog confirmed there will be no Season Pass.
No season pass. As for the story questions - you will have to wait and play the game to see how it all shakes out. I just finished another play-through last night around midnight and it was still awesome! I'm totally biased, though.— Cory Barlog (@corybarlog) January 17, 2018
That said, just because God of War doesn't have a Season Pass doesn't necessarily mean there won't be DLC. Horizon Zero Dawn, another Sony exclusive, didn't have a Season Pass because developer Guerilla Games only offered a single expansion, The Frozen Wilds.
God of War is planned for a release on PlayStation 4 some time in 2018. You can read our thoughts on the game by checking out our God of War review.
