Google has scheduled another streaming Stadia Connect presentation, this time to coincide with Gamescom 2019. Alongside new looks at what's in store for the streaming service, Google is also saying there will be a greater focus on games coming to the platform.
Much like Nintendo Directs or Sony's State of Play, Stadia's Connect streams look to be a regular update format for announcing news about Google's video game streaming service. This next Connect is set for August 19 at 10 a.m. PT, right before the start of Gamescom on August 20.
Let's do it again. On 8/19, #StadiaConnect is back and bigger than ever. Tune in at 10AM PDT / 7PM CEST for all the details - then come get hands-on with the future of gaming for yourself at our #Gamescom booth! http://go.redirectingat.com?id=87431X1573192&xs=1&url=https%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2FdKmKakQeQp pic.twitter.com/H0ILSxki8r- Stadia (@GoogleStadia) August 6, 2019
Alongside providing a hands-on demo at Gamescom, Google is also saying that "this time around, it will be all about the games," per the stream description.
Google already announced some earlier this year during a Stadia Connect stream, including Doom Eternal, Baldur's Gate 3, and Destiny 2. However, some still aren't sold by the idea of a stream-centric box. Issues like data caps and internet speeds are certain to be roadblocks to those trying to get Stadia away from larger hub cities.
We'll see what Google has in store on August 19. If you want to read more about how Google is tackling issues with the Stadia, be sure to read up on our interview from the 2019 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
