Gran Turismo Sport Hits 5 Million Total Players
Producer Kazunori Yamauchi announced the news on Twitter.
Gran Turismo Sport has surpassed 5 million total players, following its release back in October 2017. Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi announced the news on Twitter.
Five million total players is nothing to scoff at, although it's been quite the journey over the last year and a half for Gran Turismo Sport to get there.

The most recent update for Gran Turismo Sport saw Le Mans arriving in the game at the end of May 2018. The most recent update included cars like the Fiat 500 F '68, Jaguar XJR-9 '88, Sauber Mercedes C9 '89, and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96, among others.
Earlier this year there wasn't such good news for Gran Turismo Sport, as it fell foul of the UK Advertising Standards Authority. The advert in question showed a selection of cars available for players, without detailing that the majority of the vehicles shown would only be available for online players with an active internet connection.
There wasn't much by the way of punishment for Sony, but the ASA ruled that the advert couldn't be shown in the future without some modification. Check out our GT Sport review for more info on the game.
