Grand Theft Auto Online's Big New Doomsday Heist Update is Available Now

Commit some heists, save the world.

Grand Theft Auto Online's biggest update is now live. The Doomsday Heist's biggest draw is the new, three-act heist that requires you and your team to work together in order to stop the potential end of the world.

The Doomsday Heist update sees you working with billionaire entrepreneur Avon Hertz and his neural network, Clifford, to prevent evildoers from destroying the world. So of course he turns to the criminals in Los Santos for help.

You can build a squad of two to four players to partake in a series of intricate and sprawling heists. To help you in your mission to save the world through crime, you'll be able to use a high-tech mission control room.

"Each of the three massive Heist acts that comprises the story of The Doomsday Heist involves negotiating multiple ruthless Freemode prep missions, tactical setup operations, and experimental weapons and vehicles," explained Rockstar. Rockstar also promises big payoffs at the end of each ending and "over-the-top" finale so it's very much worth your time to partake if you're in it for the prizes.

The trailer shows off some of the new weapons and vehicles added with the new update, including a jetpack and Delorean. You'll even need to fight with competing groups for resources apparently.

The Doomsday Heist is a free update available now in GTA Online, so get out there and save the world.
